How to switch with Easy Switch?

You want to become a BASE customer, but you still have a contract running with another operator? It's easy to arrange, with Easy Switch! We take care of cancellation with your current operator and you don't have to do anything at all.

Do you want to cancel your BASE subscription? We would be sorry to see you go, but even then you can easily switch thanks to Easy Switch. In that case, the new operator will handle your cancellation.

  • All you have to do is provide BASE with your Easy Switch ID when you place your order. 
  • You can find it on your bill/invoice, purchase confirmation or in your current operator's customer zone.
  • Easy Switch is possible at BASE if you switch at least your internet or TV subscription.
  • Easy Switch is no longer possible if you have already activated your BASE services. In that case, you have to cancel everything with your previous operator yourself.

We can only cancel the same services (internet and/or tv) with your current provider that you subscribe to with us. For example, suppose you only order BASE Internet but want to keep TV and fixed telephony with your current provider. Then we only cancel the internet service. If you want to cancel the other services too, you have to do that yourself.

If you want to transfer only your mobile numbers to a new operator, you don't need Easy Switch. During your order with the new operator, you can indicate you want to keep your number.

No, thanks to the Easy Switch procedure, we avoid interrupting your services when you switch from an old operator to a new one.

You may still have to pay an outstanding balance with your previous operator, or you may receive a final bill after cancellation. It is also best to check whether you will have to pay any additional charges, such as the residual value of a handset or possibly a termination fee for ending your contract early.

Activation too late

When you switch, BASE will provide you with an installation data on which your services will be activated. Do your services not work on the promised date? Then you are entitled to a compensation of €6 per day.

Automatic compensation

We naturally do our best to prevent any hiccups during the transition. If something should go wrong, you will have our sincere apologies. We will also automatically grant you compensation:

  • €10 per day if you have to wait more than one day for your new services after the previous operator has terminated your services.
  • €30 if the BASE technician does not show up during the installation appointment.
