When is my internet speed reduced?

At BASE we have two fixed internet products: BASE limited Internet and BASE unlimited Internet. The rules for when your speed is reduced due to high usage depend on which internet product you have.

We cannot retrieve your data. Please make your own choice.

With a BASE limited Internet subscription you get 300 GB at 50 Mbps per month. And when this is gone? Then you have three options:

1) You buy additional data (25 GB) and continue to enjoy full-speed internet (50 Mbps download speed and 5 Mbps upload speed).

2) You can continue to use internet, but at a lower speed (1 Mbps download speed and 256 kbps upload speed).

3) You can switch to BASE unlimited Internet. Want to check how much you have already used, buy additional data or switch to BASE unlimited Internet? The quickest way to do this is via My BASE or the My BASE app!

With BASE Unlimited Internet you can always continue to use internet without paying extra. However, your speed will be reduced from 200 Mbps download speed to 20 Mbps download speed, and from 20 Mbps upload speed to 2 Mbps upload speed during peak hours if you have used more than 3 TB (that's a whopping 3,000 GB) in one month's time. You will still have normal internet speed during off-peak hours.

Want to check your usage? The quickest way to do that is in the My BASE app!
