To send and receive mails from your smartphone or tablet, you must add an email address to your favourite email app. To do this, you need some details from your email provider:
IMAP or POP3
Do you use IMAP? Then you view your emails on a central server. Via POP3 you download them to your handset. We recommend IMAP: that way you always have your emails available on every device and there is an automatic backup in case something happens to your handset.
Select Settings > Scroll down > Select Mail > Select Add account > Select the type of account you want to add or select Other > Select Add mail account > By Name, enter your name > By Email, enter your email address > By Password, enter the password for your email address > By Description, enter a description so you will recognize the account > Select Next > Select IMAP > Now enter the general details in the correct place.
Open the email app you want to use > Go to Settings > Click Add email account > Enter all the requested details. Choose IMAP where possible.
The message centre: if this number is not correctly entered in your handset, your message will not be sent.
Domestically and internationally: +32486000005
Tip: still not working? Then replace +32 with 0032
Go to the Home screen > Select the telephone icon > Enter *#5005*7672# and select the telephone icon > If the telephone number shown is +32486000005, select Close and return to the Home screen.
If this telephone number is not shown, select Close and proceed to the next step > Enter **5005*7672*0032486000005 # and select the telephone icon > The message centre is configured > Select Close and return to the Home screen.
Switch your Apple iPhone off and then on again to activate the settings.
Go to the Home screen > To open the menu, sweep up or down > Select Messages > Select the options icon °°° > Select Settings > Select More settings > Select Text messages > Select Message centre > Enter 0032486000005 and select Settings > The message centre is configured.
