Advanced settings of your BASE modem

Sometimes it is necessary to adjust your modem's settings, for example to set up your camera system or printer. You can do this through the advanced settings in My BASE. Below is an overview of what you can find under the advanced settings.

Under Network you can find information about:

  • LAN configuration: The modem's internet network address.
  • UPnP: The system that allows automatic port forwarding to devices, such as game consoles and printers.
  • WAN configuration: The modem's external network address (a.k.a. internet address).

Under IPv4 firewall & Port forwarding you can find information about:

  • Firewall settings: These are the values for the security of your wireless network. We have already configured these for you, as default settings.
  • Port forwarding: Allows you to forward traffic over certain ports to specific internal IP addresses. This is mainly useful for users who have their own server.

Under IPv6 firewall settings you can find information about:

  • Firewall settings: These are the values for the security of your wireless network.
  • IPv6 firewall rules: Here you can change the firewall rules to allow protocols or hosts on IPv6. We recommend that only advanced users make changes here.
