Is your wifi booster not working well?

Do you still have internet issues after the installation of your wifi boosters? You have for example slow wifi or no connection with the network. Follow these steps:

When using wifi boosters, we recommend that you turn off the wifi of your BASE modem. If you don't, your devices may connect to the modem's (weaker) network and not the wifi booster's. It's best to check that your device is connected to the right network and switch off the BASE modem's wifi via My BASE or the My BASE app.

Everything starts with correct installation. If you are unsure whether you have installed the wifi boosters properly, read this article!

When the LED on the wifi booster changes colour, it indicates a specific status.

  • Flashing yellow: the booster is resetting 
  • Yellow: the booster is starting
  • Flashing blue: the booster is ready for installation 
  • Blue: booster installation is in progress 
  • Flashing green: the booster is being updated 
  • Green: the booster is online and everything is OK 
  • Flashing red: the booster has no connection with the Deco at the modem 
  • Red: the booster has a problem

Is everything installed properly, but the wifi boosters are still not working optimally? Then open the Deco app and go to the Network tab. There you can see at a glance the status, quality and speed of your network, among other things. The app immediately shows if there is a problem and how to fix it. You can click the arrow next to the network status for more details.

If you don't have the Deco app yet, you can download it from the Google Play Store or App Store. Besides diagnostics, the app includes other handy features for managing your boosters!

Still having problems?

Have you checked everything, yet you are still having problems with your wifi boosters? It could be that there is something wrong with your modem or there is a wider problem in your area. 

Is the device defective? Register the wifi booster with the web form if it is still under warranty.
