How do I restart/reset my BASE TV box?
There are various ways to restart or reset the BASE TV box. This is useful if, for example, you want to keep or clear certain settings after a reset.
- You can restart your BASE TV box by unplugging it from the mains socket.
- Wait at least ten seconds and plug it back in. Your TV box will start up again.
- Wait until your TV box has restarted. The light on the TV box will be orange. After about ten seconds you will have a picture again.
- You will see a welcome screen, and then the message ‘Please wait’ will appear on your TV. When the message disappears, you can use the TV box again.
Important information
Keep in mind that if you unplug the power to the BASE TV box for an extended period, no software updates will be performed during that time. The TV box will update itself again as soon as you plug it back in. This can take up to ten minutes.
The subscription continues even if you disconnect power to the TV box.
- Press the house button.
- In the menu, select the gear.
- Select System.
- Select Factory reset and enter the PIN code.
- Select Confirm.
Note!
A factory reset erases all settings on your BASE TV box. Afterwards, you must install the TV box again from scratch. Your recordings will not be lost, because they are saved in the cloud.
