Picture but no sound on my TV

Check these things first...

  • Test the volume button on both your BASE remote and TV remote.
  • Is your TV set to mute? If so, switch that off.
  • Is your HDMI cable still connected to the correct input on your TV?
  • Are your TV's HDMI settings set to HDMI Standard (and not to: UHD mode, UHD Color, Enhanced or HDMI enhanced format)?

Are you using an external sound system?

  • Is the external sound system on?
  • Is the external sound system set to the correct input? 
  • Is the volume set high enough? 
  • Is the mute off?

Check the settings of your TV box

  • Press the house button and then the gear.
  • Then go to Picture and sound.
  • Set Dolby Audio > Off.
