How do you cancel your BASE subscription or prepaid card?

Do you want to cancel your BASE monthly plan or prepaid card? We are disappointed to hear that! But we are also happy to help you. 

  • Cancelling a monthly plan? Call us on the free number 1999 and we will arrange it for you with no cancellation fee. 
  • Cancelling a prepaid card? You can stop topping up at any time. Note: After 12 months the prepaid card is automatically deactivated and unused credit is then lost.  

Switch easily with Easy Switch

Do you want to switch providers for internet and/or TV? Then be sure not to forget to provide your Easy Switch ID to the new provider. They will arrange the cancellation at BASE. Handy, because you don't have to do anything at all. You can find your Easy Switch ID on My BASE.

Do you want to port a mobile plan or prepaid card? Then you don't need an Easy Switch ID. Ask the new provider to keep your mobile number. Once your number is active with the new provider, your number will stop with BASE.

What do you need to keep in mind?

Are you switching to a different operator with your prepaid card? Then we can refund your remaining call credit to your bank account up to a month after the switch. Ask for refund.

Did you buy a smartphone at a reduced price via BASE? Check the depreciation table on My BASE to see whether you still have to pay a residual value.

  • After cancellation, you have 30 days to return your BASE modem and/or TV box. You do this via a PostNL return point.
  • And if we don't receive your hardware? Then we charge you the residual value of each device.
