TV on, no picture

You want to watch TV, your BASE TV box is on, the remote works, but you're not getting a picture. Your TV box may not be connected properly.

Which light is lit on the BASE TV box?

White means your BASE TV box is on. 

  • Check that the HDMI cable is properly connected. Cables may have come loose during dusting or when you repositioned your TV:
    •  Fully unplug the HDMI cable from your TV box and screen.
    • If necessary, replace the HDMI cable.
  • Make sure your TV is set to the correct external input. Most TVs show this automatically.
    • Press one of the following buttons on your TV's remote: This differs depending on the brand.

  • Select the correct input. 
    • For example, if you plugged your HDMI cable into HDMI port 1, choose input 1. 
    • Not sure which input you need to select? Then select them one at a time until you get a picture.     

Your TV box is in standby. Switch the TV box on via your remote control.

Your TV box is starting up or updating. Wait until the light turns white or blue again.
