  • Open the zap bar. 
  • Press 2x or long press to see the programme detail page.

Go back to the last channel watched.

Press briefly (2 sec.) and return to the beginning of the programme.

Open the TV guide and navigate using the arrow keys. Found a programme? Press OK.

Record the programme.

  • Restart the programme with Replay TV

Open the details page.

Stop, and switch back to live TV.

Return to the previous menu.

Fast-forward 30 sec. Long press to jump ahead quickly.

Go back 10 sec. Long press to jump back quickly.

Quick way to switch your TV on or off.

Quick way to switch all your devices on or off (TV, TV box and amplifier, if you have one).

This is how you control your TV with your voice:

Keep the voice control button pressed and say your command, not too quickly or loudly, as soon as you see the green microphone appear on screen.

  • Does the button turn yellow to show it's listening, but your TV doesn't understand your command? Then repeat it calmly and clearly, or rephrase it.
  • Is the button not turning yellow and is there no message on your screen? Try again and keep the button pressed firmly. If it still doesn't work, your best bet is to restart your TV box using the button at the back of your box.

 

Good to know: Not all commands work in Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube.

What commands are there?

You can zap to another channel, request your favourite programme or series, pause/fast-forward a programme, etc.


You'll find some examples below. Would you prefer to say it differently? No problem, your TV recognizes multiple variations of the same command. So feel free to experiment, and you'll discover other possibilities!

During installation and activation, the BASE TV remote control pairs with your TV box. Then it automatically pairs with your TV and sound system. That way you can control everything with one remote, and that makes life simpler! 

Good to know
  • You can only use one remote control per TV box.
  • Not every universal remote will work with the TV box. Contact the seller of the device.
  • You can also use the Telenet TV remote to control other devices, such as a soundbar or audio amplifier. Contact the seller of the device for more info.
