- Of the BASE TV menu
- Press the house button on your remote.
- Click on the gear in the rightabove corner on your screen.
- Go to Profiles > Language.
- Spoken language
- Press the house button on your remote.
- Click on the gear in the rightabove corner on your screen.
- Go to Profiles > Spoken language.
Important: if the spoken language is
- Dutch, there will be no Dutch subtitles available.
- French, there will be no French subtitles available.
- Open the BASE TV app and click on
(Android) or 
(iOS). - Select Settings > App preferences.
- Change the language.

- Press the house on your remote control.
- Click the gear and select Profiles > Subtitle options.
- Select Standard and your preferred subtitle language.
- Press the house on your remote control.
- Click the gear and select Profiles > Subtitle options.
- Select Closed captions for the deaf and hearing impaired and your preferred language for the closed captions.
- While watching TV, press the . . . button.
- Click Subtitles on.
- The subtitles are shown in the language you set under Standard subtitles.
- While watching, press the text balloon in the top-right corner. Don't see the icon? Then, unfortunately, subtitles are not available for that programme.
- Select the language and click OK.
