How do I become a customer?

It's free, quick and easy. You order your SIM card for free and then follow the steps to activate it. You can become a BASE customer in various ways.

Do you prefer a prepaid card? Then the My BASE app is the place to be!

In the app you can order your free SIM card. You'll be asked whether you want a new number or prefer to keep your current number. Then you provide us with some personal details, after which we do an identification check.

If everything checks out, you'll get your SIM card in the mail within two working days! Once you've received your SIM card, you can activate it straight away in the app. So you'll be ready to go in no time! 

  • Whether you choose a prepaid card or a subscription, using the My BASE app is always a good idea. This way you can control your consumption, view and pay for your bills, set your notifications and limits, and much more! Ordering a subscription from the app is not yet possible, but we're working on it.

Have you made your choice? Click Order and follow the instructions on the website. We'll send you a new SIM card as quickly as possible! Once you've received it, you can activate it in the My BASE app straight away and you're all set!

Activate your number

After ordering in the app or on the website, we'll send you a SIM card as quickly as possible. Then you'll have to activate it before you can use it.

Did you order your SIM card…

  • via the My BASE app? Download and/or open the app. Follow the steps there to activate your SIM card, or follow the link in the email we sent you after sending your SIM card, on your smartphone.
  • via the website? Go to our activation page and follow the steps there. After activation, don't forget to download the My BASE app to manage your monthly plan.

Did you choose to have a new number?

You can place your new BASE SIM card in your handset straight away. Once the activation is done, you'll see the BASE network appear and you can call, text and browse the net. 

Did you choose to keep your old number?

Keep using your current SIM card until the network disappears. Once that happens, insert your new BASE SIM card and off you go!

Good to know

  • Do you have a prepaid card? Then you must top up the SIM card after activation. The quickest way to do that is via the My BASE app.
  • Check with your current operator whether you still have any contractual obligations or must pay cancellation costs.
