How to get a lifelong discount as an existing BASE customer?

As an existing BASE customer, you can benefit from a lifelong discount on your mobile monthly plan. You just need to convince a family member or friend to become a customer with BASE Mobile as well.

How does it work?

Step 1: Invite someone to join BASE!

Convince a friend or family member to order a BASE mobile monthly plan online, and you both will get a lifelong discount.

Step 2: The friend/family member confirms that they were referred by an existing BASE customer.

The new customer signs up for a mobile monthly plan via BASE.be or the My BASE app. At the end of the ordering process, they enter your mobile phone number on the registration form. This allows us to link the referral to the right customer.

Step 3. Activate, and that's it!

As soon as your friend/family member activates the SIM card, you will both benefit from a lifelong discount on your monthly plan each month. You both continue to receive the discount for as long as the referred person keeps their BASE monthly plan.

Frequently asked questions

You can get the lifelong discount anytime, so there is no need to wait for a particular promotional period. Please note that the lifelong discount you get depends on the promotional offer at that time.

The referred friend/family member must order at least a BASE 15 monthly plan to get the lifelong discount.

Yes, the offer is also valid for a family plan. In that case, you will also see all the monthly plan costs on one bill. 

The lifelong discount starts within 10 working days. Please bear in mind that we first carry out a check to confirm that you are eligible for the promotion.

It is a lifelong discount. The discount lapses if the referred customer cancels their monthly plan, switches to a lower monthly plan or replaces it with a prepaid card.

If you want to use the lifelong discount by bringing a friend or family member on board, you need to switch to one of the monthly plans mentioned above. You can do this via the My BASE app, on BASE.be or in a BASE shop. Please feel free to contact customer service if you have any more questions.

There are a number of reasons you may have not yet received the lifelong discount.

  • You or the referred person does not yet have a qualifying mobile monthly plan (BASE 15, BASE 20, BASE 29 or BASE 39, BASE Pro 11, BASE Pro 20, BASE Pro 29, BASE Pro 35).
  • You do not yet have a mobile BASE monthly plan. You have to be a BASE customer for at least 3 months before you are eligible for the promotion.
  • You are already enjoying a lifelong discount. It is not cumulative.
  • The referred person has not activated their monthly plan yet.
  • There is an error in the form such as:
    • Your order number is not correct.
    • The referred person entered the mobile phone number of the existing customer incorrectly.
    • The referred person entered their own mobile phone number instead of that of the existing BASE customer.

No, each BASE customer can use the promotion only once irrespective of the number of referred persons.
